PROPOSED TRANSFER OF CERTAIN LONG-TERM INSURANCE BUSINESS FROM CANADA LIFE LIMITED (CANADA LIFE) TO COUNTRYWIDE ASSURED PLC (COUNTRYWIDE ASSURED)
Canada Life and Countrywide Assured have applied to the High Court of Justice of England and Wales (Court) for permission to transfer certain long-term insurance business from Canada Life to Countrywide Assured, using a scheme under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Subject to approval by the Court, it is expected that the transfer will take place on 23 February 2025.
